Dave Scala is a film director and screenwriter, who received his BFA in Film & TV Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. His short films have screened and won top prizes at 50+ festivals, nationally and abroad, including the Palm Spring International ShortFest, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Boston LGBT Film Festival, and Festival MIX Brasil.
His feature screenplays have been a Finalist for the Sundance Sloan Screenwriting Lab, Hamptons Film Festival Screenwriter’s Lab and the NYU/Sloan Feature Film Award. He was also a top finalist for the 2016 Jameson First Shot film competition, hosted by Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey and Academy Award-nominee Maggie Gyllehnaal. Born and raised in the farmlands of New Jersey, Mr. Scala is based out of Manhattan and developing his first feature film.
